All of us, however unpleasant it is to realize, are in the risk zone. Our brain is as flexible (cortical cells are able to perform some functions of ‘faded’ brain areas) as vulnerable. Only imagine: our brain is continuously exposed to the rapid pace of modern life with its bad ecology, forced to quickly process information flows attacking it from all quarters, and has to take decisions, sometimes in an instant. But what do we do instead of helping and thanking our brain already tortured by all those stresses, air pressure drops, and our endless air travel? We deprive it of sleep, proper nutrition, and – why deny it? – poison it with nicotine and alcohol. No one would behave like that but a very careless owner.
Please, spare a few minutes and look through the list of encephalopathy signs below. If you have found at least 3 of them in yourself – it’s time to receive preventive treatment! Remember that any ailment is much more easier and cheaper to prevent rather than to treat!
LOSS OF INITIATIVE
LOSS OF MEMORY
NARROWING RANGE OF INTERESTS
(in the course of therapy, many symptoms already leave after the first sessions.)
So, whom we treat:
people with a higher-than-normal pace of life
those setting themselves new and new goals experiencing persistent lack of time
those in the constantly growing information flow (dangerous is not the information flow but the speed of its processing)
those whose life involves steady stresses
those bearing responsibility above the line
those who overload their memory and scarcely ever get the chance to have a quality rest
those incapable of relaxation even during vacation
those whose activities involve a large number of contacts with people
those exposed to continuous physical, psychological and emotional stresses (chronic sleep deprivation, exhaustion, regular air travels and climate zone changes, head injuries in sportsmen)
people working at night on a permanent basis
long-time smokers and drinkers
and those willing to increase their brain power, improve their stress resistance, and receive preventive therapy before serious problems arise.
